Yes! It is recommended to have dental hygiene 2 times a year to maintain the appearance of a filling, crown, onlay or any other tooth restoration. It has been proven that dental restorations last longer if hygiene recommendations are followed. Each filling and crown has its own lifespan and with proper care will last you longer. If you do not want to change fillings, crowns or other restorations often, follow the recommendations of your dentist and hygienist by having a dental hygiene appointment 2 times a year.
